Write an Argumentative Introduction in 4-5 Minutes

When you write an introduction there are basic rules that apply to all introduction: Start with a big idea and move towards your thesis. The thesis must be the last sentence in the introduction. (This is nothing new.)

                 But...

What else goes into the introduction?


This answer is addressed in this video. Look for connections to what we've have learned in class. Specifically sentences that are NOT prompt dependent and sentences that are prompt dependent.

Take out your English spiral or writing journal and a pencil. Take notes on the structure and points the instructor present that are helpful to the creation of your introduction.

Note: Watch this video A FEW times. The more you watch, the more your brain will absorb the overall thinking process that is required to generate an introduction in 4-5 minutes.
